14cm Timber Hexagon Base

Description

These hexagon shaped bases allow you to easily add some geometric style and pleasing angles to the shape of your handmade basket or tray. They are simple to use and the angles can be accentuated by making two stitches through the corner holes when casting on. Depending on yarn colour choices and pattern design, the hexagonal bases can become your foundation for a range of basket styles – from classy to funky. They are even perfect for specially themed baskets, such as animal baskets. They are heaps of fun to work with and are aesthetically pleasing to work with as a variation to the standard basket shapes.

Our hexies are currently available in three sizes (14cm, 18cm and 22cm), but let us know if you would like other sizes to be made available. When ordering, you may choose the modern and light coloured Tasmanian Sassafras timber, or the rich and dark Jarrah. Select your base timber type from the drop down menu when placing your order.
